RE: Sport Accident Insurance for Members
The SWA is pleased to announced the addition of Sport Accident Insurance for all registered members of the SWA. Sport Accident Insurance for the first time, has been purchased by the SWA in conjunction with its Directors/Members Liability and Commercial Property Insurance. Sport Accident Insurance provides coverage for SWA members injured during SWA sanctioned competitions and training. Please review the attached coverage information and forms. NOTE: Death – Option A - $ 25,000.00; Dental coverage and Out of Country is not included within the SWA Sport Accident Insurance policy.
The following is an example of how a member can access the program:
SWA Members are covered for Rehabilitation costs, such as massage or physiotherapy. If you currently access services such as these, due to an injury sustained either at a competition or during a training session, you can submit your receipts, along with the attached forms, to the insurer (Markel) noted on the form. Note: The insurer must be notified within 30 days of the injury, with the required documentation/receipts to the insurer within 90 days of the injury date. Please contact me with any questions. I have years of experience with the sports of wrestling and gymnastics, assisting members in preparing and submitting their insurance claims. Insurance can be frustrating, but please contact me for assistance.
There is a cost to the Sport Accident Insurance policy, $ 4.00/SWA member. The SWA has paid the premium for the Sport Accident Policy. There is no cost for the SWA member.
