Step 01:
Become a SWA Member
Saskatchewan Weightlifting offers memberships for all lifters, no matter your skill level. Pick the membership that suits you. Each membership is valid from the issue date until September 31 of that year (e.g., October 1, 2026 – September 31, 2027). You can upgrade your membership anytime by paying only the price difference.

The WA season runs from October 1st to March 30th annually. All memberships expire on September 30th.

No. New and rejoining members between October 1st and September 30th pay the full annual membership fee.

No. Only one membership fee is required and you are to select the appropriate membership category that’s at a higher cost. Members have the option to upgrade their membership at a later date within the current season. See Membership.

You can be a member of our association if you have a Saskatchewan address. Purchase using the button above.

An athlete is allowed to compete in their first year of competition in athletic wear that is not a singlet, unless otherwise specified in the competition regulations. In the competitions they compete in moving forward, they must wear a singlet and abide to the IWF Technical & Competition Rules and Regulations “Athletes’ Outfit” rules in section 4.

Competition flow starts with weigh-ins that begin two hours before your session. You can begin warming up at anytime after you have weighed in. There will be an athlete presentation 10 minutes before your session begins and then the competition will start. Read more details on what to expect in your first competition in our blog post.
