SaskSport is hosting a session on mental health; an important topic in today’s sport world. Stress, pressure and performance standards affect not only athletes but coaches as well, and can put strain on one’s mental health and wellness levels. Taking time to prioritize the self and one’s energy levels can have a significant impact on being able to ensure that mental well-being is properly addressed.
The session will:
examine issues that coaches experience that create stress and disruptions to mental wellness,
explore the different ways that mental wellness can be disrupted, and
identify tools and strategies that coaches can use to prioritize their mental health.
