Pure Athletics will be hosting the PA Open. This competition is always a fun meet and brings a good crowd to end the season! It will be the first weightlifting meet to be hosted since they have expanded their facility.
Deadline to register for this competition is March 30, 2019. No late entries will be accepted.

6.1 Women: 40, 45, 49, 55, 59, 64, 71, 76, 81, 81+ 87, 87+
**40kg and 81+kg is solely for youth athletes
6.2 Men: 49, 55, 61, 67, 73, 81, 89, 96, 102, 102+, 109, 109+
**49kg and 102+kg is solely for youth athletes
7 PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY:
7.1 An athlete participating in a SWA competition must be;
Duly affiliated member of the Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association (memberships may be purchased on site of competition or online at www.saskweightlifting.com/swa-memberships)
A member in good standing with the Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association
Speakers and Timekeepers must be Category 4 or higher referees
Technical operators need no referee qualifications
The maximum amount of athletes participating at this Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association competition is 75. This is an agreed upon limit due to the limits of the organizing committee.

COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS:

EQUIPMENT:
Warm-up room: Same floor and room as competition platform (will be curtained off and separated from the competition platform.
Warm-up platforms: multiple warm-up platforms will be made available
Warm-up barbells: Eleiko, York, and Rogue men and women’s barbells are available
Competition stage level: floor level
Competition platform: Regulation
Competition barbell: Men’s and Women’s Eleiko barbells
Referee light: Uesaka Electronic System
Scoreboard: Electronic System
Attempt board: Electronic System

DOPING:
This competition IS subject to in-competition drug testing administered by the Canadian Center for Ethics in Sport. All athletes and coaches are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the applicable rules and procedures. For more information visit http://www.cces.ca/en/antidoping
AWARDS:
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded for the total in each category
A zero in the snatch does not eliminate athletes from the competition. Athletes are allowed to continue in the clean and jerk.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Entry fee (athletes only): $35 – if you have not purchased a SWA membership you must do so at www.saskweightlifting.com/swa-memberships unless competing from out of province.
Referees and Officials: Free
**All registration and memberships must be purchased on the SWA website as cash and cheque will not be accepted at the competition site.
