Join us in August at Mettle Performance Training Centre in Regina, SK for the Mettle Open. A 2018/19 membership is valid for this competition but you may also purchase your 2019/2020 membership now at www.saskweightlifting.com/swa-memberships.
The Mettle Open will be the first chance for Junior athletes to qualify for Canadian Junior Championships 2020.
This meet falls outside of the qualification period for Canadian Senior Championships 2020.
Deadline to register for this competition is July 27, 2019.

7 PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY:
7.1 An athlete participating in a SWA competition must be;
● Duly affiliated member of the Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association (memberships may be purchased on site of competition or online at www.saskweightlifting.com/swa-memberships)
● A member in good standing with the Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association
7.2 Speakers and Timekeepers must be Category 4 or higher referees
7.3 Technical operators need no referee qualifications
7.4 The maximum amount of athletes participating at this Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association competition is 75. This is an agreed upon limit due to the limits of the organizing committee.

9 COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS:

10.1 Warm-up room: Same floor and room as competition platform (will be curtained off and separated from the competition platform.
10.2 Warm-up platforms: multiple warm-up platforms will be made available
10.3 Warm-up barbells: Eleiko, York, and Rogue men and women’s barbells are available

11.1 This competition IS NOT subject to in-competition drug testing administered by the Canadian Center for Ethics in Sport. 12.1 Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded for the total in each category
12.2 A zero in the snatch does not eliminate athletes from the competition. Athletes are allowed to continue in the clean and jerk.
13 FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
13.1 Entry fee (athletes only): $35 – if you have not purchased a SWA membership you must do so at www.saskweightlifting.com/swa-memberships unless competing from out of province.
13.2 Referees and Officials: Free
**All registration and memberships must be purchased on the SWA website as cash and cheque will not be accepted at the competition site.
